| Job description | The Food and Drug Administration has openings in Laurel, MD to participate in the development, optimization and routine use of methods to analyze tissues, biological fluids and animal feeds for drug residues and contaminants. The preferred candidate will have a Ph.D. in chemistry. The position involves the development of use of liquid chromatography and liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry techniques for the analysis of samples. The successful candidate will lead ongoing and planned research efforts including the development of methods for the determination of animal drug residues in tissues from aquaculture products; the development, validation, and routine use of methods for the analysis of drug residues in tissue and fluid in support of bovine and other large animal pharmacokinetic studies; and the development and validation of methods to detect contaminants in animal feeds. | |
